We’re looking to expand our team with a Finance Administrator Clerk to help our business achieve sustainable growth and strengthen our position in the market.

Life of a Finance Administrator Clerk at AVeS Cyber Security

The Finance Administrator is accountable for ensuring that all orders are placed, received, and delivered according to specifications and time frames. Update all relevant systems, ensure orders are closed and follow up on any outstanding orders. Need to adhere to finance procedures and deadlines. Identify, assess, and report any risk areas.  Assist with the daily reconciliation of the cashbook and in any other departmental functions. Require a constant positive contribution towards the department and company.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Orders
    • Ensure information is completed and loaded on the ERM system
    • Upload all relevant documentation into the ERM system
    • Link and upload Client and Supplier orders into the system
    • Ensure orders are placed and sent to the Supplier
    • Track and report on orders
    • Constance communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding expected delivery dates or any deadlines.
    • Receipt of orders and ensure that the stock received is accurate and corresponds to the order placed.
    • Arrange delivery of stock to clients and advise of any changes.
    • Ensure all orders are completed and closed on the ERM System.
    • Follow up and report on outstanding orders.
    • Keep track of annual orders and renewal dates.
  • Cashbook
    • Daily reconciliation of cash book
    • Follow up on outstanding slips
    • Follow up on outstanding reconciling items.


  • Matric with Maths and Booking as a subject.


  • Mandatory experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial position
    • Worked on a financial package – SAGE, Pastel, or similar.
    • Worked on an ERMsystem

  • Mandatory (and minimum) skills requirements:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English, other languages are advantageous).
    • Excellent work ethic: energetic, get-things-done attitude and take responsibility to deliver positive results beyond expectations.
    • Solid proficiency in computer literacy and Microsoft Office 2016.
    • Customer-centric sales skills and ability to build productive, growth-focused business relationships.
    • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to relate positively to other people.
    • The ability to take the initiative in establishing new ways of working to achieve the objectives of the post Confidentiality, tact and diplomacy and the ability to work to deadlines.
    • Good time management and prioritisation skills.
    • Flexible approach to work.
