Technology Sales Engineer

This role is on a permanent contract basis.

We’re looking to expand our team with a vibrant, energetic, self-driven technology sales engineer, who can participate in pre-sales activities including, but not be limited to, conducting Proof of Concepts (PoC), scoping of solutions, supporting the pre-sales manager in security designs, writing proposals, delivering product-specific presentations and training. Preference will be given to candidates from all designated groups including people with disabilities.

You will work closely with our security pre-sales manager and security sales team to deliver A-quality various sales services to high-end clients.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers as a trusted advisor, listening and understanding their challenges and requirement – both technical and business, and clearly articulate and communicate to the sales team, and document them
  • Generate new sales by engaging with existing client base.
  • Sign on new clients for managed security services
  • Setup meetings with client and present solutions from a advisory aspect
  • Provide a monthly sales engagement forecast
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relations with existing and prospect clients.
  • Follow defined business processes and prepare quotations and ensure they are received by clients.
  • Meet client engagement deadlines
  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Conduct Proof of Concepts
  • Writing of technical proposals
  • Deliver product-specific presentations
  • Primary and (Secondary) product manager for one or more solution products
  • Respond to customer requests for proposals, designs and bills of materials for cost-effective solutions

Qualifications

Mandatory

  • Matric
  • Minimum of 4 years theoretical or technical experience (A+, N+ or equivalent)

Advantageous

  • Security Vendor Certifications an advantage.
  • Governance Framework Knowledge (Cobit 2019, ISO 27001, ITIL etc).
  • BSC Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

Experience

Mandatory

  • Minimum of 4 years theoretical or technical experience (A+, N+ or equivalent)

Advantageous

  • Technical Presales experience
  • Existing Client relationships and contacts
  • Sales Experience
  • Security Vendor Certifications an advantage.
  • Knowledge of and working experience in Cyber Security.
  • Governance Framework Knowledge (Cobit 2019, ISO 27001, ITIL etc).
  • Knowledge of writing proposals

Skills & Competencies

Mandatory

  • Driver’s licence and own car with 3 years driving experience in the greater Gauteng.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English, other languages are advantageous).
  • Excellent work ethic: energetic, get-things-done attitude and take responsibility to deliver positive results beyond expectations.
  • Solid proficiency in computer literacy and Microsoft Office 2016.
  • Customer-centric support skills and ability to build productive, growth-focused business relationships.
  • Ability to travel to work and to clients (we are situated near Clearwater Mall in Johannesburg).

Advantageous

  • Knowledge of and working experience in the suite of Office 365 applications.
