The Microsoft Office 365 E3 Licence: What’s included?

by | 15 Mar 2016 | Microsoft, Seamless Mobility Campaign

Office 365 is part of Microsoft’s core Software as a Service offering. Not only is this technology enabling organisations to mobilise their on-the-go workforce, but they are also getting the benefit of an on-premise technology stack at a fraction of the cost. Active Directory integration, 24/7 IT-level support and 99,9% up-time allows for an always-on service that is easily managed by IT teams.

Organisations have the ability to empower their users, unify their environment, and get integrated business insights with Microsoft’s cloud technologies. Microsoft’s Hybrid Cloud Framework enables organisations to drive key business enablement initiatives, such as performance management, board packs and service desks, across different lines of business in finance, marketing, operations and others.

Office 365 Enterprise licences have one-year subscriptions. Organisations have flexibility in scheduling their subscription payments to either monthly or yearly billing, which further increases their control over their OPEX-based expenses. Volume discounts are available for Office 365 enterprise agreement customers (typically 250+ licenses) who want to purchase through volume licensing.

To enjoy the benefits of an Office 365 E3 plan, organisations can upgrade from their existing Office 365 Business, Office 365 ProPlus or Office 365 E1 plans. If the organisation is licenced for under 300 users, administrators can upgrade their Office 365 plan directly from their Admin centre using the Switch Plan wizard. IT Managers are welcome to contact us before upgrading to ensure that the transfer to the new account is seamless.
