Prerequisites

The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course is as follows: 

  • System administration experience on Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems.  
  • Understanding of concepts presented in the self-paced, 3 hour VMware Data Center Virtualization Fundamentals course.

Important note: Please be advised that VMware has changed the VCP6 certification requirement from one exam to two exams. VMware has introduced a prerequisite online non-proctored exam: vSphere 6 Foundations (Exam # 2V0-620) that needs to be completed along with the proctored VCP6-DCV exam at a Pearson VUE testing facility. The vSphere Install, Configure & Manage v6.0 and the vSphere Fast Track v6.0 courses aligns perfectly to online vSphere 6 Foundations (Exam # 2V0-620).
